Digital Reality, Inc. was established in April 2006 on the premise of Empowering Consumers for Mass Customization through Direct Digital Manufacturing (now called 3D printing). Our purpose then was the same as it is now. To drive the Next Industrial Revolution. Digital Reality wrote the business model and plan in 2004-2005 which culminated in the creation and filing of a patent in April 2006 titled Made-To-Order Digital Manufacturing Enterprise. The patent has become a reality with the introduction of Digital Factory™. An e-manufacturing solution in a box that will be made available for sale in 2012.
Digital Factory™ allows real-time design customization by your customers for virtually any product you want to sell. It also handles supply and demand issues including production scheduling and enterprise resource planning functions such as Human Resources in one box. It takes into consideration engineering functions along with customer modifications to ensure products produced can actually be fabricated for safety and security.
Digital Factory™ is available in three tiers: Hosted, Small Business, and Enterprise. The latter available with complete customization to tailor the system for your needs.
Digital Reality launched www.kraftwurx.com as our first licensed partner November 14th, 2011. The company has 43 digital printing materials available and has been visited by web surfers from 93 countries worldwide. It is the same business plan we launched and demonstrated in 2006 which you can read about on Make Magazine HERE: http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2007/08/3d-mass-customization.html
The business model is compelling: Time to market reductions, Just-In-Time lean manufacturing, products produced on demand, products that are customized by the end user, all for prices resembling mass-manufacured goods you might purchase at a retail giant such as Wal-Mart.
Our Purpose is to empower consumers for mass customization and empower manufacturing to deliver it.
